Jackie has previously described herself as an illustrator, a printmaker and a thing maker. She now prefers 'artist.'
A native of the Mohawk Valley, Jackie graduated from the University at Albany with a MFA in 2017. Her current work revolves around the individual, intimate parts of the human body.
While often deeply personal narratives drive Jackie's work, it is our shared experiences as humans that ultimately interests her. We all bleed. We all suffer. We all die. Although morbid on the surface, it is these thoughts that ultimately comfort her and push her forward. Through blood and death, Jackie pursues and aestheticizes the experiences that repel us.
Jackie lives and works in New York Capital region.
